Toddlers - Preschool
Kandiland's toddler room offers an exciting
and stimulating program that offers the
children many challenges in a loving and
happy environment.
- Kandiland's toddlers are introduced to
colors, shapes, numbers, letters and
language development through the
developmentally-appropriate
Preschool Curriculum
- The children are further introduced to colors and shapes through art projects which promote eye-hand coordination and manipulative skills.
- The Toddler curriculum is Bible-based. The children learn Bible stories which aid in language development and memorization skills as well as teaching morals and values.
- The Toddler room is set-up in "centers" which allows the children to rotate from center to center experiencing different mediums for expression, play and learning. Toddler room centers include a dramatic play center with a kitchen/home area and grocery store supplies which encourage language development, sharing, and cognitive thinking. The Toddler room also has an art center which offers a host of mediums for self expression and building fine motor skills. The block center and manipulative center encourage eye-hand coordination and gross motor skills.
- The weekly curriculum includes a creative movement section which introduces the children to music, dance and exercise.
- Spanish is offered as well to teach the toddlers about Spanish and Mexican cultures and to begin the little one's in an introduction of the Spanish language which should serve them well when they begin formal Spanish classes.
- Kandiland's toddlers have their own playground which allows the children to explore outdoors in a fun and safe environment.
- The Toddler Program includes a hot breakfast, morning snack, hot lunch and two afternoon snacks which gives our little ones the nutritious foundation they need in order to learn and play.
